About Seikou Kiln

About a century ago, during the early Taisho era, Seikou Kiln established its kiln in Nomi city of Ishikawa prefecture and embarked on a quest to perfect the traditional Japanese overglaze painting of Kutani ware. After years of devoted research, Seikou Kiln developed a high-quality product with their innovative printing paper technique. The glassy glaze has an alluring transparency, while the thick overglaze paint boasts the same quality and beauty as hand-painted work. As a result, Seikou Kiln has received numerous accolades, including recognition from the Japan Tourism Agency's "Charming Japanese Souvenir Contest" and the "Gourmet & Dining Style Show."
