Inspired by the movement of water, Nami captures a sense of rhythm and fluidity through its expressive blue glazing.

Handcrafted in Arita, the flowing brushwork and natural variations in colour create a surface that feels spontaneous yet composed. No two pieces are exactly alike, allowing each bowl to carry its own individual expression.

Together, Tanka and Nami explore two contrasting expressions of Japanese ceramics — the depth of fire and carbon in Tanka, and the movement of water and glaze in Nami.

About Riso Porcelain

Our company was founded at the former residence of Yi Sam-pyeong, the pioneer of Arita porcelain.
As time went on, our main products changed from porcelain sculptures to tableware.
Now, we are pursuing contemporary beautiful forms with our descended tradition and accumulated techniques. We will make further efforts and continue to challenge ourselves to producing new products.
