This Sakura Shino Matcha Bowl is crafted in Japan using traditional Mino ware techniques, featuring a classic Shino glaze with soft pink (sakura-inspired) tones. The surface is finished with a tataki texture, created through a hand-tapping process that gives the bowl its distinctive character and depth.

The gentle color variations and textured surface reflect the natural beauty of Japanese ceramics. Its wide form allows for smooth whisking, making it suitable for both daily use and tea ceremony practice.

Each piece is unique, with variations in glaze, tone, and texture formed during the firing process.

About Mino Ware

Mino-yaki, produced in the Tone area, in Gifu prefecture, was created during the 5th century when Sue ware, potters’ wheels, and hillside kilns were imported from Korea to Japan.

During the Showa period(1926-1988), fine items and tiles were produced, and Mine ware became one the greatest pottery centres in Japan.Nowadays, Mine ware still have a dominate market share in Japan market.
