Common Squid "Surume-ika". Around 90 species living in the sea near Japan. Muscular and elastic it usually have 10 suckers on each arm. Squid is one of the most popular foods in Japan . It is said that around 40 % of the global catch are consumed here. To name a few of the most poplar, Japanese common squid, spear squid, bigfin reef squid, cuttlefish, firefly squid. There are all good for sashimi, sushi, cooked, grilled, fried, dried and so on.
