Kuruma Shrimp "Kuruma-ebi" or Japanese tiger prawn are nocturnal prawns, they live on sandy mud bottoms and reaches up to 20 cm in length. They are called "Kuruma (car) shrimp in Japanese as their stripes look like a wheel when they curl up. Consider a delicacy especially when served in early summer to fall. Common Japanese dishes like grilled with salt, "tempura (deep-fried) and sashimi.
