About Mino Ware

Mino-yaki, produced in the Tone area, in Gifu prefecture, was created during the 5th century when Sue ware, potters’ wheels, and hillside kilns were imported from Korea to Japan.

During the Showa period(1926-1988), fine items and tiles were produced, and Mine ware became one the greatest pottery centres in Japan.Nowadays, Mine ware still have a dominate market share in Japan market.
